Career development opportunities are earned by facilitating great patient experiences, expanding your skills, and managing details efficiently and accurately.ResponsibilitiesJob Summary: As a scheduling coordinator, you will accurately schedule medical and cosmetic appointments, manage a multi-line phone system, and communicate with patients in a fast-paced environment.Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Accurately schedule medical and cosmetic appointments
Manage a multi-line phone system and schedule patients in a fast-paced environment
View and manage provider scheduling and communications
Collect and manage patient information with respect and detail, in accordance with industry regulations (HIPAA, etc.)
Consult with patients to schedule and re-schedule appointments
Actively listen to patients, using empathy and concern
Escalate patient situations that require unique attention
Call patients to reschedule appointments due to provider schedule changes
Assist with scheduling Inbound Referrals
Assist with updating referring provider about patient upcoming appointment and/or appointment status
Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Pleasant and clear speaking voice
Positive attitude that shines through to our patients on the phone
Attention to detail, specifically professional writing skills
Follows directions and respects policies and procedures
Self-starter, ability to work independently
Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task
Problem solving skills
Bi-lingual- Spanish speaking skills is a plus
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Customer Service or Sales experience
Medical Office experience preferred, but not required.
Experience with electronic practice management system preferred
