As part of an aggressive growth strategy, they’re building out a high-caliber leadership team to scale operations, drive innovation, and ensure world-class customer service.Position SummaryThe Technical Services Manager is an executive-level role responsible for elevating our technical capabilities across product design, tooling, process engineering, and facilities. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborate directly with customers, and shape the strategic direction of our manufacturing footprint.Key Responsibilities1. Product Design & Customer Interface
- Act as the technical liaison for customers, translating requirements into manufacturable designs
- Provide DFM guidance during new product development
- Lead feasibility studies and technical quoting to onboard new programs
- Oversee the full lifecycle of molds and tooling—design, procurement, maintenance, and replacement
- Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maximize tool uptime and performance
- Drive cost and cycle-time reductions through tooling innovation
- Develop, validate, and continuously improve injection and structural foam molding processes
- Establish and maintain SOPs to ensure consistent, efficient production
- Introduce advanced technologies and best practices for process optimization
- Manage plant engineering projects and facility upgrades to support volume growth and safety standards
- Collaborate with operations on utilities, equipment, and infrastructure requirements
- Lead capital planning and oversee installation of technical assets
- Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing technical services team
- Align engineering, maintenance, and support initiatives with corporate objectives
- Serve as the technical voice in executive strategy sessions, driving innovation and operational excellence
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years in plastic injection molding, with strong exposure to structural foam processes
- Proven leadership success in a manufacturing environment, scaling technical operations
- Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Track record of delivering process improvements, cost savings, and tooling innovations
