JOB SUMMARYThe Mid-level Practitioner is responsible for providing health care to patients in the hospital or office setting. The Mid-level Practitioner works in consultation, cooperation and coordination through a collaborative physician. The Mid-level Practitioner functions according to the established standards and practices of medicine for Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistants in the State of Texas.JOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum Education●Master’s DegreeMinimum Work Experience●No previous experienceRequired Licenses/Certifications●BSN, MSN, ANP, or PA licensed in the state of Texas●BLSRequired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities●Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.●Thorough knowledge of patient triage, diagnosis and evidenced-based care.●Knowledge in overcoming barriers from diagnosis to treatment including: financial/economic, language/culture, transportation issues.●Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.●Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.●Skill in problem solving.●Skill in verbal and written communication.●Skill in speaking engagements and other activities that raise awareness to diseases and disease processes.●Ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures.●Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.●Ability to interact with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively.
