Afternoons with weekend rotation
Call and Holidays when applicable.Provides health care services applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.Essential Duties:
- Verifies orders, verifies patient name/birth date and history.
- ·Documents all incidents related to patient care on in electronic health record (example-incident reports,
- medications given, etc.)
- ·Performs and documents time out procedure for invasive procedures.
- Follow department protocol for all exams.
- · Continuously monitors the patient throughout the exam.
- · Use Radiation protection for patient and self.
- · Utilize ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) for all exams.
- · Assist Radiologist and authorized providers with exams/procedures, as necessary.
- · Performs routine diagnostic imaging , fluoroscopy, surgery imaging, and ED/Urgent care imaging.
- Accredited School of Radiologic Technology / Diploma
- Current Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) License
- Current License with the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography (R)Registry
