This position offers a commission-based structure with a forgivable draw. The Flooring Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving sales, providing in-home consultations, offering product recommendations, and ensuring flooring proposals are complete and accurate. We are looking for someone with hands-on flooring experience or a background in construction who has a proven track record of success.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-home consultations to assess customer needs and provide product recommendations.
- Drive sales through effective prospecting, relationship building, and closing techniques.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to foster repeat business and referrals.
- Networking and attending community events to build a group of referring partners to grow organic appointments.
- Communicate customer needs/expectations to Install Manager to make jobs go smoothly
- Work with a team to ensure smooth project by having accurate proposals that have all labor and material needed for a flawless installation.
- Stay updated on flooring trends, new products, and industry best practices.
- Proven success in sales, with at least 2 years of experience in a commission-based role.
- Background in flooring sales or related construction experience (e.g., general contracting, home improvement, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients. Skills must include Microsoft Office Skills for professional communication and work order execution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Strong follow up skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Competitive commission and uncapped commission potential. Forgivable draw to balance out sales months.
