Job Grade: Exempt-2Job Purpose:As member of the Parts Quality Mass Production Team, this person is responsible for preventing outflow of supplier defects, perform technical investigation/ analysis of problems, and implement countermeasures, while also managing change points to minimize production impact.Key Accountabilities:
- Lead in-depth analysis of quality problems, including parts measurements, to take action that will minimize impact to downstream customers (Manufacturing Depts).
- Prepare and submit technical documents to communicate quality problems with suppliers using the NARS Honda Trouble Report system (HTR’s), and present details to initiate countermeasure action.
- Set technical requirements for supplier part change points using the NA Change Point Control System (CPCS) and evaluate quality documents before management review.
- Lead complex problem-solving analyses and investigations.
- Lead supplier Quality Assurance Visits (QAVs) to communication concerns and confirm countermeasures are implemented that eliminate non-conforming conditions.
- Mentor new associates within group on problem solving, procedures, and Parts Quality role and responsibilities.
- Perform judgment, disposition, and handling functions for non-conforming part problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Control, or Related Field
- 2 years minimum experience in the above fields

- Schedule meetings with suppliers to review problem details and set plans for improvement
- Travel at least 25% of work time
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including off-shifts and weekends, as necessary
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary to support department needs (short term and/or scheduled)
- Must have valid form of identification to be able to travel by ground/air to domestic and/or foreign destinations
