- Use hand tools and power tools to trim, cut and fit components into the final product.
- Gain technical knowledge and skills.
- Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial equipment.
- Perform OSHA inspections and generate inspection reports and repair orders.
- Communicate with the Service Manager during the day so that work can be scheduled and completed on a daily basis.
- Weld or join metal components together using various techniques and methods including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications.
- Maintaining a production schedule.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Troubleshooting and stress-testing products to minimize problems or recalls.
- Reporting and detailing product malfunctions.
- Maintain the ability to work with others in a team environment as required.
- Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and screwed in.
- Cut, bend, and shape metal components using a range of fabrication equipment such as saws, lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
- Find faulty components in defective products to fix them
- Load and unload trucks
- Machining responsibilities
- Responsible for moving equipment, including operating a forklift
- Adhere to all company policies including safety, appearance, and customer service.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with basic hand tools
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Expertise in welding techniques and procedures including MIG, TIG, and ARC
- Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery.
- Good dexterity.
- Attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills.
- Specialized certification preferred.
