- Provide pricing leadership on innovative solutions across the product development lifecycle throughout ideation, prioritization, viability, profitability and risk reviews, and launch/implementation support
- Drive climate of collaboration, engagement, curiosity, talent development, innovation, and business leadership
- Directly manage a small team
- Effectively and transparently communicate key information and insights to a diverse set of stakeholders
- Actuarial designation (ASA, FSA) with 5+ years of experience is required
- Experience with pricing or annuity products is required. Annuity experience is preferred
- Strong quantitative modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and create practical solutions to address complex business problems
- Able to build and/or modify models to assess the viability of various product, reinsurance, or other initiatives, often with limited direction and/or imperfect information
- Solid development skills and experience with programming languages (such as Matlab or Python and VBA) is preferred
- Business acumen to translate quantitative analytics into insights that drive business results
- Active listening skills to understand issues and effectively collaborate with business partners
- Able to clearly explain complex topics to non-technical and executive audiences through verbal and written communication
- Sound judgement to prioritize and, where necessary, find reasonable approximations to ensure time and resources are used most efficiently
- Open to remote/virtual location outside of commutable Newark, NJ; Hartford, CT; or Shelton, CT location
