- Collaborates with the Advancement team to fully understand all marketing and communication needs.
- Composes draft speeches for senior management and assists with finalizing speeches.
- Schedules and develops film scripts and production.
- Evaluates the success of campaigns when completed.
- Attends trade shows and community fairs and staffs the company booth.
- Writes, produces, edits, coordinates, and secures approvals for visual and editorial content across all communications and marketing channels, assuring a unified voice and consistent image for the agency.
- Expands CCSOMO’s storytelling capacity by identifying and capturing stories from all programs within the organization and across the region.
- Pitches/places stories in traditional and non-traditional media as well as Hispanic media.
- Creates, develops, and maintains the CCSOMO website and content, which includes but is not limited to, developing a strategy for marketing the website, and monitoring website analysis using Google Analytics.
- Manages CCSOMO’s social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
- Manages CCSOMO photo library and artwork.
- Builds relationships and maintains contacts with area media, prepares press releases and PSAs, and proactively seeks story ideas to increase awareness of CCSOMO work in the community.
- Secures media participation in support of CCSOMO events.
- Implements awareness campaigns on topics specific to CCSOMO’s programs; works collaboratively with other staff to develop an integrated approach to such campaigns.
- Helps fulfill public relations needs as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance.
- Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred.
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
