Compensation: Base to $95K, DOEJob Overview - Fund Accountant, Fixed Income - 32647A Charlotte-based, boutique wealth management firm is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fund Accountant to join its growing team.
The Fund Accountant will be responsible for supporting the management of fixed income assets, ensuring accurate and timely accounting and reporting for our clients' portfolios.Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of fixed income transactions, including trade settlements, income, and expenses
  • Calculate and process accruals, amortizations, and other accounting entries related to fixed income securities
  • Monitor and report on the performance of fixed income portfolios, highlighting key trends and issues
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, administrator traders, and other teams to ensure accurate and efficient accounting for fixed income assets
  • Stay informed about industry developments and regulatory requirements related to fixed income accounting
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 1+ years of experience in fund accounting for fixed income assets
  • Strong understanding of fixed income securities and their accounting treatment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
