You will leverage your expertise in materials, tooling, and process flow to define build sequences and ensure product quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes and build sequences based on a strong understanding of materials and fabrication techniques.Evaluate equipment and tool performance to verify efficiency, reliability, and alignment with production requirements.Identify and resolve issues related to tooling, process capability, and production inefficiencies through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.Collaborate with design engineering teams to provide feedback on design concepts and specifications, ensuring manufacturability and optimal use of available equipment and methods.Operate within a Model-Based Engineering environment using platforms such as 3DX (3DEXPERIENCE) and iBASEt Solumina to develop digital work instructions and manage process documentation.Support cross-functional initiatives to improve cycle time, cost, quality, and safety across manufacturing operations.Provide periodic off-shift support as needed to sustain production and ensure continuity of operations.Travel periodically to other sites or vendors for technical support and integration activities.The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical background and a high degree of confidence in addressing complex, unfamiliar challenges, especially in hands-on hardware environments. They will be a self-motivated problem-solver, capable of working independently while also thriving in collaborative team settings and supplier-facing situations.Key Attributes:

This position is fulltime onsite in Palmdale, CABasic Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Aero Aircraft or rocket sub-systems assembly and or integration / installation.
  • Manufacturing assembly work instruction authoring and work planning.
  • Hands-on or Support production floor experience.
  • Review of engineering technical drawings and models / designs with respect to design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) considerations.
  • Secret Clearance required to apply AND the ability to obtain and Maintain Special Program Access prior to start
Desired skills
  • STEM Degree with 5+ years of experience
  • Aircraft fuel and hydraulic systems.
  • Wire harness and interconnect installation/integration.
  • Development/protype/first article program support.
  • CNC machining working knowledge.
  • 3DX/Catia V5 software usage. PLM and ERP software proficiency.
  • Works effectively within cross-functional teams and with external partners/suppliers.
  • Direct ownership and support of specific manufacturing operations as well as interface with production employees.
