This position is part of the Charge Cord team and is located in Warren, Ohio or Troy, Michigan.Summary:Develop new Aptiv Electrification products and implement technologies while supporting/coordinating customer quotes, and design transfers to production team(s), for Electrified vehicles.Responsibilities:Lead design / development of electrified products and electrical system for North American OEM’s
  • Coordinate design and design change activities for various electrified vehicle customers
  • Work closely to Product development teams to align Aptiv technology with customer needs and business pursuit
  • Lead implementation of the latest technologies into Aptiv product designs
  • Exploit Aptiv product differentiators that provides a competitive advantage (technology, cost, quality, services)
  • Leverage Aptiv organizations and products into proposals for new business opportunities
  • Work with Aptiv sales and Business Lines to ensure business objectives are met
  • Create and deliver technically strong customer presentations
  • Support, and work closely, with Aptiv Electrification teams in other regions
  • Available to monitor and participate in harness and customer launch activities
  • Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements
Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
  • Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)
  • 2+ years' experience in automotive and/or wiring system roles
  • 1+ years' experience in a team environment
  • 1+ years' experience in Electrical Schematics/Vehicle mechanizations understanding
Nice to Haves:
  • Excellent Communication skills – written and verbal
  • Sales or Program Management experience
  • Electronics experience
  • Multi-tasking team player with a hands-on approach
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment
  • CAD experience
