- A new technician or technician returning after 2 years' of non-telecommunications related work
- Be capable to perform industry leading quality integration services and customer support that exceed customer expectations
- Be capable to take direct supervision, instruction, and on the job training from a Skill Level 3 or 4 Technician
- Be capable of performing the following work operations / job activities:
- Identifying various types of installation tools, their applications, and safe usage
- General aptitude in mechanical / electrical assembly
- Addition or removal of non-powered or passive equipment / hardware as directed
- Not perform Skill Level 2 or above work operations / job activities unless properly supervised
- Not progress to Skill Level 2 without a minimum of 1.5 years' experience or documented equivalent proficiency, as determined by the Operations Management
- Assessment must be performed by an Operations Manager, Skill Level 4 Technician, or Instructor using GR-1275-CORE as a reference guide
- Experience, Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Have a minimum of 1.5 years' experience or documented equivalent proficiency, as determined by the Operations Management
- Be capable to perform industry leading quality integration services and customer support that exceed customer expectations
- Be capable to take direct supervision, instruction, and on the job training from a Skill Level 3 or 4 Technician
- Be capable of performing the following work operations / job activities:
- Proficiency in Skill Level 1 work operations / job activities including:
- Identifying various types of installation tools, their applications, and safe usage
- General aptitude in mechanical / electrical assembly
- Addition or removal of non-powered or passive equipment / hardware as directed
- Cabinet / Rack installation
- Cable Management installation including:
- Ironwork
- Cable Rack
- Fiber Duct
- Equipment racking and grounding
- Cable lacing
- Alarm / Coax / Ethernet cable installation, dressing, and connectorization
- Addition or removal of wiring and connections on non-working equipment / hardware only
- Cable continuity testing
- Basic DC power installation
- Not perform Skill Level 3 or above work operations / job activities unless properly supervised
- Not progress to Skill Level 3 without a minimum of 2 years experience or documented equivalent proficiency, as determined by the Operations Management
- Assessment must be performed by an Operations Manager, Skill Level 4 Technician, or Instructor using GR-1275-CORE as a reference guide
- Experience, Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience or documented equivalent proficiency, as determined by the Operations Management
- Be capable to perform industry leading quality integration services and customer support that exceed customer expectations
- Be capable of performing as Lead Technician
- Be capable of performing the following work operations / job activities:
- Proficiency in Skill Level 1 work operations / job activities including:
- Identifying various types of installation tools, their applications, and safe usage
- General aptitude in mechanical / electrical assembly
- Addition or removal of non-powered or passive equipment / hardware as directed
- Proficiency in Skill Level 2 work operations / job activities including:
- Cabinet / Rack installation
- Cable Management installation including:
- Ironwork
- Cable Rack
- Fiber Duct
- Equipment racking and grounding
- Cable lacing
- Alarm / Coax / Ethernet cable installation, dressing, and connectorization
- Addition or removal of wiring and connections on non-working equipment / hardware only
- Cable continuity testing
- Basic DC power installation (non power transitioning functions)
- Analysis of job documentation
- Situational understanding of job at hand and awareness to plan accordingly
- Provide work assignments to Skill Level 1 and 2 technicians
- Prepare a Method of Procedure (MOP)
- Resolve issues with job documentation
- Reporting and final quality inspection
- Not perform Skill Level 4 or above work operations / job activities unless properly supervised
- Not progress to Skill Level 4 without a minimum of 4 years experience or documented equivalent proficiency, as determined by the Operations Management
- Assessment must be performed by an Operations Manager, Skill Level 4 Technician, or Instructor using GR-1275-CORE as a reference guide
- Experience, Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience or documented equivalent proficiency, as determined by the Operations Management
- Be capable to perform industry leading quality integration services and customer support that exceed customer expectations
- Be capable of performing as Field Manager
- Be capable of performing the following work operations / job activities:
- Proficiency in Skill Level 1 work operations / job activities including:
- Identifying various types of installation tools, their applications, and safe usage
- General aptitude in mechanical / electrical assembly
- Addition or removal of non-powered or passive equipment / hardware as directed
- Proficiency in Skill Level 2 work operations / job activities including:
- Cabinet / Rack installation
- Cable Management installation including:
- Ironwork
- Cable Rack
- Fiber Duct
- Equipment racking and grounding
- Cable lacing
- Alarm / Coax / Ethernet cable installation, dressing, and connectorization
- Addition or removal of wiring and connections on non-working equipment / hardware only
- Cable continuity testing
- Basic DC power installation
- Proficiency in Skill Level 3 work operations / job activities including:
- Secondary DC Power installation (designated as power runs between BDFB and End Device)
- Primary DC Power installation (designated as power runs between PDU and BDFB) under the direct supervision of a Primary DC power certified higher level technician
- Analysis of job documentation
- Situational understanding of job at hand and awareness to plan accordingly
- Provide work assignments to Skill Level 1 and 2 technicians
- Prepare a Method of Procedure (MOP)
- Resolve issues with job documentation
- Reporting and final quality inspection
- Signal or circuit modifications
- Software additions or upgrades
- Equipment / hardware testing and turn-up
- Engineering and Design capabilities
- Advanced equipment installation, configuration, and turn-up certifications that may include primary DC power, OEM, PMP, etc.
- Secondary DC Power installation (designated as power runs between BDFB and End Device)
- Primary DC Power installation (designated as power runs between PDU and BDFB) under the direct supervision of a Primary DC power certified higher level technician
- Power transition work
- Addition or removal of batteries
- Addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources
- Not perform Skill Level 4 or above work operations / job activities unless properly supervised
- Not progress to Skill Level 4 without a minimum of 4 years experience or documented equivalent proficiency, as determined by the Operations Management
- Assessment must be performed by an Operations Manager, Skill Level 4 Technician, or Instructor using Telcordia GR-1275-CORE as a reference guide
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an area of responsibility.

- Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment.
