Your advanced design sensibility, visionary creativity, and ability to translate complex human needs into impactful digital solutions will be instrumental in shaping the future of digital health. You will spearhead the design of innovative products tailored for our core audiences, ensuring that every experience is not only intuitive but also deeply human-centered.This position works out of our Alameda, CA location.What you’ll do
  • Lead Design Strategy and Vision for Key Products: Take ownership of the design strategy for multiple product lines, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs. Your leadership will directly influence product direction and look and feel
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with researchers, content designers, product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive product development. Your ability to communicate design rationale will be crucial in aligning stakeholders around a shared vision.
  • Shape User Experience: Define and articulate our vision for core audiences, crafting user experiences that evolve with their needs and the dynamic market landscape. Your insights will help anticipate user trends and inform product roadmaps.
  • Innovate and Iterate: Lead the end-to-end design process for evolving products, from initial concepts to final delivery. Your iterative approach will ensure that designs are continuously refined based on user feedback and research, maximizing impact.
  • Utilize Storytelling for Strategic Impact: Employ storytelling techniques to bridge user needs with business outcomes, positioning design as a critical strategic driver within the organization. Your narratives will help stakeholders understand the value of design in achieving business objectives.
  • Enhance and Scale Design Systems: Contribute to the evolution and refinement of our design system, ensuring consistency and coherence across all product touchpoints. Your work will establish a scalable visual language that enhances brand identity.
  • Mentor and Elevate the Design Team: Lead design critiques and collaborative sessions, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the design team. Your mentorship will help develop junior designers and elevate the overall design quality.
  • Influence Product Success: By aligning design with business strategy, you will directly contribute to the success of our products in the market, impacting revenue growth and market share.
  • Establish Design as a Strategic Asset: Your efforts will position design as a key differentiator for our brand, influencing how users perceive and interact with our products.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design / Human Factors or related field, with minimum of 10 years relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A sophisticated design sensibility with a refined eye for UI patterns, visual hierarchy, and strong visual execution — including layout, typography, color, and micro interactions.
  • Experience in creating, evolving, and maintaining design systems to ensure a cohesive and scalable visual language across all product surfaces and platforms.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing recent work, especially consumer products, with clear evidence of the impact of design decisions.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to translate business goals and audience needs into impactful designs, from concept to final execution.
  • Strong prototyping and animation skills across different levels of fidelity.
  • Passion for crafting engaging, intuitive, and visually appealing experiences, with a clear vision for how designs should look and behave.
  • Expertise in usability and accessibility, ensuring inclusive and functional design for all users.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively articulating design rationale to diverse stakeholders.
