Cortica is looking for a Lead Clinical Informaticist to join its growing team!In this role, you will provide the leadership for Cortica’s clinical systems for technical, workflow, and process designs. This position guides the organization in how to set up and use clinical systems such as electronic health records (EHR) and ancillary systems. This position also serves as a lead technical architect for clinical systems providing a single point of contact for both technical and non-technical teams in providing detailed information and translation of clinical systems to other business and technical uses. The Lead Clinical Informaticist guides junior team members in how to support end-users and provide training to clinical team members.Cortica is a rapidly growing healthcare company pioneering the most effective treatment methods for children with neurodevelopmental differences.   • Guide clinical provider process and workflow design for use in EHR and associated systems.
  • Design best practices for providers and other users of EHR and clinical systems.
  • Serve as expert level escalation for technical issue resolution.
  • Work with clinical system vendors to identify solutions that fulfill Cortica’s system needs and propose recommended clinical solutions to support designed workflows to the Head of Enterprise Applications and IT and/or the CTO.
  • Provide designs to clinical system vendors to configure systems to meet Cortica needs.
  • Participate in planning, design, development, and implementation of the EHR as it pertains to clinical practice.
  • Analyze operational analytics of the EHR and work with clinical leadership to ensure the clinical systems are meeting expected value.
  • Responsible to manage up to Clinical Informaticist, providing leadership, training, and support to meet their goals and the department’s goals.
  • Works with technical teams to provide expert level understanding of clinical system architecture for informational and technical solution support.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current trends and issues in health care, Healthcare Informatics, Joint Commission Standards, HEDIS and other quality measures; system-wide policies and procedures related to clinical practice, and the legal implications of the EHR; and clinical applications currently in use and their relationship to other information systems.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are developed and updated to reflect the usage of the EHR.

  • You hold a bachelor's degree.
  • You bring 4+ years of clinical and information technology experience.
  • You have experience with EHR (electronic health records)/ EMR (electronic medical records) configuration and implementations, user management, orders management, integration testing, template customization, and component management.
  • You possess excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • You have working knowledge of SQL.
