Location: Spanaway, WAPhaxis is working with a school district located near Spanaway, WA. The district is looking for a full-time candidate with a passion for working in schools.Speech Language Pathologist Job Description:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings of students'speech, language, voice, and fluency abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans (IEPs) based on student needs, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement strategies and accommodations in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, services, progress notes, and other required records.
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences.
- Provide professional recommendations for speech and language support services.
- Stay informed about best practices and current research in speech-language pathology and educational service delivery.
- Comply with district policies, state laws, and IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) requirements
- Hours: Full-time preferred, part-time candidates will also be considered
- Caseload: Based on candidate experience
- Onsite preferred, Hybrid candidates (3 days onsite 2 days virtual for report writing) can be considered.
- Commutable to the Spanaway, WA area daily
- Masters Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD)
- An active Washington State Licensure, or the ability to obtain
- ASHA CCC (preferred) Note: Clinical Fellow (CF) graduates are welcome to apply
- An active or in-process ESA Certificate (Educational Staff Associate)
- The ability to work in the U.S. Without a sponsor
