OBJECTIVE: The Project Coordinator position at the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) plays a vital role in ensuring projects across multiple teams are executed smoothly, on time, and within budget. This position supports the ISA Operations Team, AgOutcomes/Soil and Water Outcomes Fund Team, and Amplify Association Management. This position plays a key role with the aforementioned teams supporting contract review, contract management, coordination within and across teams, managing timelines, and ensuring key programs and projects are moving forward.This is an opportunity to work alongside passionate professionals in agriculture, conservation, policy, and innovation, supporting farmers and driving impact for the soybean industry in Iowa and beyond.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Project Implementation: Coordinate cross-functional projects from kickoff to completion, ensuring clarity of scope, timeline, deliverables, and responsibilities.
  • Task Management & Follow-Through: Track and manage follow-up items and deadlines for internal and external stakeholders to keep projects on pace.
  • Contracting Support: Facilitate the contracting process with farmers, vendors, consultants, and partners, routing drafts, tracking status, and ensuring timely execution.
  • Technology Coordination: Support the use of project tools (SharePoint, Smartsheet, Teams, CRM, etc.) to organize files, timelines, and communications.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, or standardize project processes and improve internal coordination.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, project logs, and periodic progress updates. Assist with budget tracking and reporting needs as assigned.
  • Collaboration: Partner with team leads across departments including research, analytics, communications, operations, and member engagement.

TRAVELThis position requires minimal travel.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position has no supervisory responsibility.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in project coordination, administrative support, operations, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills-you thrive in juggling multiple projects at once.
  • Familiarity with project and data management platforms (Smartsheet, Asana, SharePoint, Teams) or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail, especially when handling contracts, documents, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, follow through reliably, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Agriculture background or interest is a plus, but not required.
