Job Summary: The Network Director will report day-to-day to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and will be responsible for supporting WMCHealth’s Supply Chain and Purchasing functions by providing legal counsel and drafting and negotiating agreements. Performing a full range of complex legal activities in support of The WMCHealth Network and departmental policies and procedures to ensure that the interests of the WMCHealth Network are represented and to ensure compliance with the law. The Network Director will consult with the Senior Associate General Counsel on an as-needed basis.Responsibilities:
Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of vendor and supplier agreements related to supply chain operations, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, capital equipment, maintenance services, consignment, and purchased services.
Advising on compliance with state procurement laws and internal supply chain policies, including oversight of competitive bidding and sourcing practices.
Conducting legal and regulatory reviews to ensure supply chain contracts comply with applicable laws such as the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, HIPAA, and accreditation standards.
Supporting the development and revision of supply chain-related policies and procedures, while assessing legal risks associated with procurement decisions.
Collaborating cross-functionally to align supply chain strategies with organizational goals, while monitoring legal and regulatory developments that may impact procurement activities.
Qualifications:Experience:
7 years of experience where the primary function of the position was as an attorney, required
4 years of which must have been in the practice of municipal law or health care law, required
Education:
LLB (Bachelor of Law) or J.D. (Juris Doctor) Law Degree, required.
Licenses / Certifications:
Admission to the Bar of the State of New York, required
