The job duties are very diverse and include:
- Solving, inspecting, diagnosing, adjusting, testing, and cleaning facility equipment and\machinery including but not limited to mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, and digital, pneumatic, and manual instrumentation.
- Perform and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and calibration for all facility equipment electrical and mechanical
- Analyzes and solves technical mechanical equipment problems and failure mode analysis.
- Advises others with the repair and overhaul of industrial mechanical equipment as specified by recommended equipment manual standards.
- Sets up and leads condition monitoring analysis and trending programs.
- Actively participate in multi-functional work teams and improvement projects.
- Meeting or exceeding operational goals and site Key Performance Indicators (important metrics).
- Adhering to Diageo standards and Code of Business Conduct (COBC) policies.
- PLC programming and instrument troubleshooting
- Work with mixers, agitators, pumps, and pressure vessels
- Repair and rebuild pumps, gearboxes, and electrical motor
- Mechanical pipe installation including threading, welding, and compression fittings
- Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair
- Steam system maintenance and repair and changes
- Support all shutdown activities throughout the site
- Follow a PM system and look to implement CI when possible
- Use SAP to track and record asset care activities
- Operate aerial lifts, fork trucks, and SkyTrak telehandlers and other heavy equipment.
- Operate the site utilities operation and equipment such as fire-tube boilers, RO filters, air compressors and dryers, process chillers and cooling towers.
- Proficient welding repairs and fabrication using both tig and stick welders. Experience in tig welding stainless steel experience is a plus.
- Must be able to recognize and work with a wide array of hand and precision tools.
- Must be able to perform basic shop mathematics, conversions, and linear measurement.
- Must be able to read PID, electrical, mechanical, equipment and layout drawings.
- Required to walk, climb ladders and stairs, use hand and power tools, and occasionally required to lift up to 50lbs.
- The employee must be able to work overtime and various shifts to respond to breakdowns, incidents, or emergencies after “normal” office hours.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and commitment to safety.
- Proven ability to work in a high-pace, high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated collaboration capability and can-do demeanor.
- Satisfactorily completed a 2-year Electro-Mechanical program from a state accredited University. Curriculums must include study in Electricity, Drives, Servo Motors, PLC programming and troubleshooting, machine shop, welding, mechanical gear systems troubleshooting, and industrial mechanical plumbing and ventilation.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the maintenance/electrical field and be OSHA trained.
- Experience working in explosive/hazardous environments is a plus.
