- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in water-based fire protection systems.
- California Fire Protection Engineer license or eligibility to obtain within a year.
- Conduct consulting and design services for diverse projects, utilizing Fire Protection Engineering expertise.
- Evaluate existing fire protection systems and design new ones, including fire suppression systems, fire alarms, and mass notification systems.
- Proficient in project management and business development, including job proposals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Positive contributor to office and department goals, culture, and morale.
- Thorough understanding of Title 24 CA Building Standards Code and NFPA Standards.
- Experience in healthcare, federal, and education project design is advantageous.
- FPE licensure in Washington or Oregon is a plus.
- Proficiency in designing gaseous fire suppression and fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of code consulting, hazardous materials analysis, passive fire protection, smoke control, or occupant egress analysis.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
