Position Overview United Health Services (UHS) is seeking an Environmental Service Aide to join our team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This vital role supports the overall patient care experience by performing daily cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the facility, including patient rooms, restrooms, public areas, and clinical spaces.The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or a healthcare setting is helpful but not required. We provide comprehensive training to ensure success in the role.   • Performing daily floor care, waste/linen handling, and cleaning using the 10-step cleaning method
Following infection control protocols, including Universal Precautions and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Adhering to all safety guidelines and proper equipment handlingMaintaining EVS (Environmental Services) equipment, supply rooms, and waste/linen areasChanging cubicle curtains and drapes as neededUsing electronic devices to support patient flow and bed trackingSetting up meeting rooms and moving furniture or beds as assignedHandling and transporting various waste types in accordance with regulatory requirementsCompleting required logs and documentation for all tasksUnderstanding and following all department policies and proceduresPosition QualificationsMinimum Required:
  • Ability to comprehend and follow oral and/or written instructions in order to follow and identify precautions, hazardous material labeling, and other safety related written materials.
Preferred:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. One to two years housekeeping/environmental services and floor care experience.
