- Work within a team of other data scientists and data analysts to support the usage of statistical analyses, physics-based models, and artificial intelligence efforts
- Query large datasets of full flight data to support algorithm development and improvements to existing onboard and offboard detection logic
- Query and extract historical maintenance data from internal databases, perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, anomalies and potential failure indicators
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the F135 PHM sensing suite to ensure optimized performance and identify emerging issues for future
- Provide PHM system-level event analyses to support field learnings, issues and investigations
- Work with other PW teams to evaluate, implement, and validate PHM algorithm changes
- Generate clear communication and present complex information for internal and external customers
- This role will give you exposure to a wide variety of engineering challenges. You will be involved in a critical role for Pratt & Whitney’s military engine programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 5 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree and 3 years’ experience.
- Must be a US Person/Green Card Holder
- Familiarity with modern data analysis and signal processing techniques
- Demonstrated capability with applying analytics to real-world sensor data
- Experience in hardware/software risk reduction and capability validation efforts
- Knowledge of and exposure to aerospace control and diagnostic systems
- Proficiency with Python, Databricks, Matlab, Excel and Agile
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing tools and methods, particularly AWS and/or Azure
