- Collaborate with MML Ownership to define and align mission, vision, and values.
- Manage a team of VPs, Hotel GMs, Club Directors, and other supporting departments such as Facilities and Technology by providing leadership, coaching, accountability, and mentoring.
- Maintain and improve service quality standards, ensure compliance with MML standards, and implement best practices for guest satisfaction.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan by analyzing market conditions, assessing internal capabilities, and identifying challenges and opportunities.
- Set clear goals, objectives, and action plans, leading the development and implementation of business strategies.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis of key performance indicators, using data to inform decision-making and provide updates to MML Ownership.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting, identifying revenue growth opportunities and expense reduction strategies.
- Lead change management initiatives to drive continuous improvement and manage transitions effectively.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Chief of Staff, Creative, HR, and Finance divisions to align strategies and achieve organizational goals.
- Manage risk and ensure compliance by identifying, mitigating, and managing all insurance and liability-related operational risks. This includes ensuring regulatory compliance, implementing safety measures, and overseeing all insurance and liability matters.
- Drive technology integration to enhance operational efficiency, guest experience, and competitive advantage.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of hotels and membership clubs and select consulting projects for consistent guest experiences and high service quality.
- Lead execution of new projects, ensuring seamless operations from start to finish.
- Cultivate a culture of personalized service and genuine hospitality to differentiate MML from competitors.
- Collaborate with VPs, Directors, and GMs to establish revenue targets.
- Set guest satisfaction goals using metrics like reviews, NPS, and repeat business rates.
- Align location goals with MML's strategic vision.
- Establish efficiency objectives to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards for compliance.
- Monitor financial performance to meet budget targets, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with the VP of Finance on budget development, revenue forecasting, data analysis, and identifying investment and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare regular financial reports and analyses with the finance team, providing insights into the health of MML's hotel, restaurant, and catering portfolio from a micro and macroeconomic perspective and insights into financial health and business improvements.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
- Utilize technology to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within MML.
- Recruit, train, and develop operational employees to maintain high competence and professionalism.
- Lead and guide operational teams to achieve goals.
- Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and morale, fostering a positive work environment.
- Support MML's philanthropic arm by maintaining positive relationships with local communities and participating in community events.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance skills and performance.
- Identify and support employee career development opportunities to encourage growth and retention within the organization.
- Implement corporate social responsibility initiatives to ensure MML operates in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
- The position is based in Austin, Texas, but travel to various locations across the US is expected as needed for operations, including visits to new and prospective projects.
- Strong hospitality ethos, eager to assist others, and deeply passionate about food and wine.
- Previous experience in a VP role or similar
- Previous experience as a Hotel GM with a F&B background; three years minimum experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant setting
- Proven track record in pre-opening and new projects within the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in both Spanish is preferred, but it is optional.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field preferred.
