Technical Leadership & Execution
- Design, develop, and assemble sophisticated testing rigs for evaluating material handling equipment
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans with ambiguous requirements
- Lead end-to-end design and delivery of simplified solutions
- Perform advanced hardware assembly/rework (complex prototype assembly, device teardowns, BGA re-balling, etc.)
- Conduct system testing, failure analysis, and performance evaluation
- Develop firmware, software, or test scripts as needed
- Create scalable mechanisms that simplify, optimize, and remove bottlenecks
- Lead team projects and drive alignment among stakeholders
- Provide inputs to team initiatives and project roadmaps
- Make strategic trade-offs between short and long-term needs
- Contribute to high-level schedule and resource planning
- Drive lab improvements and operational excellence initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
- Mentor and develop team members
- Participate actively in the hiring process
- Provide technical assessments for promotions
- Champion lab management best practices

The MHE Hardware team is a new and growing group within OneMHS. Our missions is to create the Amazon Standard MHE Hardware through a combination of in-house R&D and supplier IP partnerships. Our products will be the Amazon standard conveyance, sortation, non-AR robotics and custom mechanical machines and solutions used throughout the Amazon network of sites, including all miles.This team will be based in Cincinnati, OH but with a few key resources in other facilities or FBD. We will challenge the status quo every day and will insist on the highest standards in both our products and how we create and manage them. We will have the best product line in this industry, and the absolute best team is needed to create it.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanics, Product Design, Industrial Design, Manufacturing Technologies or other STEM discipline
- Minimum 6-7 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in designing and building test fixtures and equipment
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficiency in data acquisition systems and testing instrumentation
- Experience with CAD software and mechanical design tools
- Master's degree in related technical field
- Experience with material handling equipment or robotics systems
- Knowledge of industrial automation and controls
- Project management experience
