- Travel: Expected to travel to other clinics for coverage when needed - Elmhurst, Westmont Pasquinelli and Lombard

ResponsibilitiesThe Journeys and Adventures that Await:
- Serve as a liaison between Orthopedic Physicians and the surrounding communities, the educational and recreational systems to support their athletes
- Collaborate with medical professionals, coaches, and athletes to ensure players are ready to play, by maintaining proper nutrition and receiving proper treatment in the event of illness or injury
- Attend sporting events to evaluate the physical condition of athletes, assist with establishing dietary and fitness plans, and use knowledge of sports related injuries to diagnose and treat players
- Stay current with new and innovative ways to offer treatment
- Participate in QA, UR, Outcome, and safety committees with in Duly, to discuss and review cases
- Provide quality patient care and maintain efficient workflow
- Schedule appointments for office visits, surgeries, diagnostic tests, meetings, and others in an efficient and timely manner
- Prepare patient charts for office visits with all patient medical test results, operative reports, and/or other documentation pertinent to the patient
- Triaging and responding to patient phone calls, including pre- and post-operative surgical patients
- Documenting information in patient records
- Reviewing therapy exercises, stretching and other patient education with patient and family
- Obtain and document patient history and vital signs
- Assisting with examinations, procedures, and treatments (i.e., applying casts, removing sutures)
- Recognizing and responding to emergencies
- Educating/instructing patients regarding their medical condition, treatments, medications, and other appropriate information
- Coordinating patient care information with other health care providers
- Completing other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Physician and/or Clinical Staff Manager
- Prepare and maintain the examination and procedure rooms
- Ensure patient and procedure rooms are clean
- Ensure availability of supplies
- Ensure equipment is working properly, removing any equipment from service, and reporting failure appropriately
- Licensure as Athletic Trainer in State of Illinois
- Certified Athletic Trainer through National Athletic Trainers Association
- BLS certification
- Bachelor's degree required from athletic training program
- Master's degree preferred
- 2 years of Athletic Training experience preferred
- Experience documenting in an electronic medical record
- Previous Orthopedic experience is preferred
