Quality Control Engineer – Stony Point, NYThe Quality Control Engineer plays a key role in supporting manufacturing engineering through inspections, documentation improvements, and root cause analysis. Inspect purchased parts and subassemblies using standard tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, thread gages).
Accurately document inspection and testing results.
Maintain controlled document files and test records.
Assist in developing and updating inspection templates and tools.
Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate issues and recommend solutions.
Lead process improvement initiatives using SPC metrics and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience
Education:BS in Engineering or Physical Sciences preferred (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Science, etc.)
Experience:Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing and Quality Control
Technical Skills:
Quality control and assurance
Root cause analysis
Use of inspection equipment (calipers, gages, micrometers)
Electronics manufacturing
Quality management systems (QMS)
Software Proficiency:Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Knowledge
MIL-Specs and MIL-STDs
Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methods
