- Diagnose, service, and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment, including fryers, grills, ovens, coolers, freezers, and ice machines.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic techniques to identify malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Repair or replace defective parts such as compressors, fans, electric motors, thermostats, pressure stats, switches, relays, belts, pulleys, evaporators, condensers, and valves.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance including lubricating moving parts, cleaning coils, replacing filters, repacking valves, and inspecting key system components.
- Reassemble and test kitchen and refrigeration systems after service to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Respond promptly to service calls and prioritize work based on operational needs and guest impact. • Collaborate with hotel management and engineering teams to support ongoing equipment upkeep and compliance with hotel standards.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience servicing and repairing commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment in a hospitality, industrial, or commercial environment.
- Experience working with tools, schematics, and manuals to service equipment accurately and efficiently.
- Working knowledge of Windows-based systems and comfort using software for recordkeeping or diagnostics.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- CFC Certification (EPA Refrigerant Certification) required.
- Valid state driver’s license required.
