  • As a Contract In-Field Sales Development Representative, you will represent DoorDash within the community.
  • Drive engagement and create opportunities for local restaurants to grow with DoorDash
About the Role * Contract position requiring up to three months commitment (potential extension based on performance and business needs).
  • Responsible for relationship-building with restaurant owners, gathering insights, and initiating partnerships.
  • Daily work includes visiting restaurants, understanding their needs, and connecting them with DoorDash solutions.
  • Serve as the link between local business owners and DoorDash resources to build long-term partnerships.

Qualifications * Sales experience: Prior field sales, outside sales, or face-to-face customer engagement preferred (restaurant, retail, or SMB focus).

  • Tech-savviness: Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Flexibility and mobility: Travel up to 60% within assigned territory; open to temporary contract duration.
Responsibilities In-Person Visits (60%) * Conduct on-site visits to prospective restaurant partners.
  • Initiate conversations and build relationships.
  • Gather insights on ownership, operations, and delivery usage.
  • Identify objections or concerns and document findings.
  • Travel 60–80 miles; overnight stays as needed.
Meeting Setup (20%) * Engage with restaurant owners to schedule follow-up meetings.
  • Generate interest in DoorDash's value proposition.
  • Build excitement for partnership opportunities.
Information Gathering & Reporting (10%) * Collect detailed business information (ownership, delivery needs, competitor partnerships).
  • Log findings accurately in CRM.
  • Provide insights to support future sales strategies.
Follow-Up & Administrative Work (10%) * Conduct follow-up calls or emails to confirm appointments.
  • Nurture leads generated from visits.
  • Collaborate with broader sales team to share insights and refine outreach.
