As an Assistant, you will play an important role in the gathering of editorial information, video & graphical material for the weeknight program, Fox News @ Night. You are also someone who thrives in a fast- paced news environment.In addition to the production responsibilities, you will be assisting the show’s Anchor, Trace Gallagher, with administrative tasks.The shift for this role is 2pm-10pm PTA SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Creatively conceive and select elements for show segmentsConduct independent research, analyze and interpret domestic, international and political affairsDevelop and pitch story ideas and guest segmentsCreate and drive content to the other Fox News @ Night platformsGreet guestsManage show Anchor’s outlook calendar and appointmentsResearch, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concernsPrioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow through on projects to successful completionManage all aspects of business travel, itineraries, and process expense reportsFlexibility to adjust workdays to accommodate special events and other business functionsWHAT YOU WILL NEED:At least 1 year of broadcast production experience and a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)Strong knowledge of national politics and current eventsFamiliarity with newsroom systems such as iNews and VIZA high degree of editorial judgment and attention to detail under tight deadlinesClear communication skills and the ability to work directly with on-air talent, high-profile guests, and senior producersHighly organized multitasker who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsAble to work independently while remaining a strong team collaboratorWillingness to adjust hours for breaking news, special reports, and business needsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
