
Manufacturing Engineer

- Continuously monitor and analyze manufacturing process flows for opportunities to improve quality, decrease cycle-time, and reduce costs of all products.
- Collaborate with design engineering to develop, document, and implement fabrication, processing, and assembly methods needed for new product introduction.
- Champion the elimination of rework and scrap in the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with material suppliers to help them develop their capacity to provide quality parts in a timely manner.
- Plan and develop optimal CNC programs for all materials produced by the in-house machining department.
- Develop and deploy effective training material to train production staff in optimal manufacturing methods and standard operating procedures.
- Drive the identification and correction of product design issues on the production floor.
- Implement Engineering Change Orders on the production floor.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering and process improvement.
- Familiarity with fabrication methods.
- Mechanical design experience, preferably with SolidWorks.
- Experience in a medium to low production environment, CNC preferred.
- Proficiency in manufacturing optimization techniques such as automation, robotics, lean, analytics, and continuous improvement.
- Project management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (required).
- 5-10 years of previous experience in a production engineering environment.
- 5+ years of experience with process and work instructions in a fabrication environment.
- 1+ year of developing and delivering effective training.
- 3+ years of supply chain and vendor management experience.
- 2+ years of quality and compliance experience.
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing optimization techniques.
