Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team, as a whole, is very large but is broken down into many smaller agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also, responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading-edge missile defense technologies.The Work
- Implement features and developing a new backend system that the program uses from the ground up, known as Forge
- Assistance and upkeep of the CI/CD pipeline
- GitLab merge request management
- Assist with design, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation
- Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards and improve overall efficiency of the system
-This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

As leader of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin directs a partnership of highly responsive industry leaders developing and fielding the backbone of America's missile defense. Together, this national team supports the design, development, test, integration and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System (MDS) to function effectively and continually. - An active Secret clearance is required prior to starting.
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or in a STEM related field, OR equivalent Experience
- Java programming experience
- Familiarity with Swing
- Knowledge of software practices and coding standards
- Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause, recommend and develop a solution
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker/Kubernetes
- Knowledge of server side development and message passing
- Experience working as part of an Agile Team
- Experience developing enterprise applications
- Good working knowledge of MS Office products
- Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasking
