Come be part of a diverse team of marketers who are passionate about putting customers at the center of everything we do and making their lives better by solving the financial challenges of a changing world.The RolePrudential Financial is seeking a strategic Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Governance leader to advance and oversee the seamless and effective functioning of the Marketing organization in our digital marketing transformation journey. This role will lead a team that is responsible for spearheading and executing strategies aimed at elevating operational performance, streamlining processes, and fostering a culture of excellence across the organization. We are looking for a change agent, with experience in change management, digital marketing transformation and operations management. This leader will ensure that we have the right operational framework for our culture and transformation. This role will also serve as the primary contact and in some cases, decision maker for marketing support, on behalf of the Chief Digital & Marketing Officer including budget, tactical business plans and goals, coordination of internal resources, response requests for information, and presentations. The right candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong analytical and project management skills, able to form relationships with senior executives, as well as internal and external partners, influence within and across organizations, and operate in a fast-paced business environment. This role will report to the Head of Marketing Technology and Operations who reports to the Chief Marketing and Digital Officer for US Businesses.We are looking for a candidate with the ability to have a hybrid work arrangement, working 2 days a week out of one of our major office locations.Key Responsibilities:OpEx and Governance
  • Lead and manage a team of operational excellence/continuous improvement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support
  • Collaborate with business and marketing leaders to achieve operational excellence through defined KPIs and operational targets, aiming at bolstering the firm's profitability and operational foundation
  • Build, manage and drive adoption of enterprise marketing operating model and processes to enable more efficient prioritization, workflow and effective governance
  • Develop, optimize and implement operational excellence strategies, policies, and procedures that drive process improvement and increase efficiency and productivity
  • Identify areas for process and technology improvements and partner to implement solutions to streamline communications and governance activities
  • Support change management and drive operational readiness for MarTech capabilities​
  • Develop the framework to manage prioritization, resource allocation and capacity management for marketing resources across the enterprise
  • Support the development and implementation of routines, escalations and protocols for Marketing, revising and update procedures and policies to align with corporate/regulatory changes
  • Identify opportunities through automation, generative AI to improve the efficiency and management of our processes
Strategic Initiatives
  • Lead, influence and manage portfolio of strategic marketing initiatives in collaboration with senior leaders and partners across the enterprise (Compliance, Finance, Procurement, etc.)
  • Serve as the central point of contact for portfolio escalations
  • Partner with senior leaders across the organization to align marketing initiatives to enterprise priorities
  • Drive and support implementation of specific corporate wide programs (e.g., Effective Decision Making, Return to Work) across all of Marketing
  • Manage multiple priorities on concurrent, rigorous deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Develop effective presentations, manage timelines, and coordinate inputs from inside and outside of Marketing to inform and influence decision making with senior leadership
Internal Controls
  • Lead and manage internal controls and risk assessments and serve as primary point of contact for advancing Business Control activities such as Business Continuity, Records Management, Information Security, and Vendor Governance. Ensure all required deliverables are completed in a timely manner
  • Interface with control partners on day-to day activities with privacy, compliance, legal, risk, and audit (e.g., privacy impact assessments, follow up from Risk Committee, audit action plans) as well as key control initiatives such as annual CRCA review, Data Inventory review
  • Ensure alignment with Corporate partners (CRE, Finance, Procurement, legal) for operational/administrative support
  • Manage the business marketing compliance review team and processes
Your ExpertiseWhat you’ll need to succeed:
  • 15+ years of program management experience in a marketing, operations and/or operational excellence role
  • Experience in driving change around digital transformation
  • Leader of people with increasing responsibility (including project management, Program Management Office, reengineering, change management, and/or transformation management)
  • Undergraduate degree required; MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Operations and budget management
  • Proven success in a strategic initiative execution and project coordination
  • Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
  • Excellent storytelling, presentation, and persuasive skills
  • Expert in Smartsheet/Excel capabilities
  • Concise impactful communicator (written and verbal)
  • Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
  • Marketing experience preferred
  • Financial services/insurance experience preferred
  • Executive presence and the ability to work in various contexts within the organization is a must
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $180,600.00 to $244,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
