- Lead analysis and interpretation of LiDAR and GIS data to support distribution asset management workflows.
- Oversee GIS-based mapping, tracking, and evaluation of distribution assets, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and standardized data integration into asset management systems.
- Perform and oversee quality control (QC) checks to maintain accuracy and consistency across spatial datasets.
- Evaluate distribution infrastructure components (e.g., poles, crossarms, transformers, insulators, conductor types) for asset condition, compliance, and risk.
- Develop and implement automated workflows and tools to streamline data processing and reporting.
- Mentor junior analysts, provide training on best practices, and assist in task leadership and project coordination.
- Communicate project status, risks, and delivery timelines clearly to stakeholders and production teams.
- 5+ years of technical experience working with spatial data, GIS analysis, and asset management for electric utilities, with emphasis on distribution networks.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, environmental science, engineering, GIS, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced proficiency in ESRI software, vector-based GIS platforms, and Terra Solid products.
- Proven ability to lead GIS/asset management tasks in a professional setting, including workflow development and process optimization.
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Utilizing GIS for advanced spatial analysis, asset tracking, and data visualization.
- Conducting LiDAR mapping and analysis for utility infrastructure assessment.
- Applying distribution asset management workflows, including compliance and risk-based prioritization.
- Identifying and evaluating distribution system components for maintenance and replacement strategies.
- Leading QC processes, mentoring team members, and supporting project delivery in a production environment.
