Our 114,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.Responsible for the management of the division's US Brain Therapies Marketing function, including establishing and developing the division's marketing objectives, policies and programs.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct and coordinate Marketing activities toward accomplishment of business goals and objectives.
  • Partner with US Brain Therapies Sales Division to determine business plans and priorities.
  • Develop Divisional strategic and operating plan.
  • Drive and oversee global communications strategies and execution inclusive of launches, advertising and social media campaigns.
  • Establish Marketing project priorities and allocate resources and workload.
  • Ensure appropriate training and education is provided to those personnel that are involved in the use of the Abbott Brand for the EP portfolio.
  • Liaison with other departments (e.g., Quality, R&D, Legal, Operations, Marketing and Clinical Affairs) for division-wide initiatives.
  • Supervise and develop staff.
  • Prepare and manage annual department budget.
  • Hires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback.
  • Sets goals which align to department plans and manages the execution of goals through coaching and mentoring. Maintains a safe and professional work environment.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) in marketing preferred ; an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience/Background: Minimum 10 years related work experience.
  • Extensive experience with strategic marketing.
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
  • Professional Marketing Certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%.
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
The base pay for this position is $147,300.00 – $294,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
