OverviewThe Foundation Coordinator, Development Services enters donor information and processes complex or sensitive gifts from Luminate and in the fundraising database. The coordinator distributes gifts to staff for processing, generates donor acknowledgement letters, and maintains data integrity through database maintenance and clean up.   • Organizes gifts into batches then scans all checks into the Foundation bank account for deposit. Accurately calculates totals, assigns bank numbers, scans checks, verifies all are scanned accurately, and records all activities onto Batch Deposit log.
  • Creates records for new donors or updates existing records. Efficiently processes complex gifts including online, matching, and event gifts following strict guidelines and gift coding procedures.
  • Accurately enters tribute gifts in the fundraising database using appropriate codes such as the person being remembered or honored and the family or person(s) to be acknowledged.
  • Runs batch validation reports and prepares daily balancing worksheets to verify all bank deposits and gifts have been correctly processed. Performs fundraising database maintenance and clean-up projects to ensure data integrity.
  • Processes quarterly Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) gifts from special events and national sponsors for both Nationwide Children's Hospital and NCH-Toledo.
  • Uses the export and merge functions in Word to create daily donor acknowledgement letter(s) for certain gifts processed. Proofreads acknowledgement letters.
  • Works at all Foundation sponsored events requiring financial and registration support.
QualificationsEducation:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
Skills:
  • Accuracy and attention to detail along with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a timely manner to meet established deadlines, required.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain working relationships with a variety of people and personalities, required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reading comprehension skills, required.
  • Ability to be entrusted with personal and confidential information, and make ethical decisions, required.
  • Demonstrated personal initiative and committed to on-going education and personal development, required.
Experience:
  • 2 years working in a fundraising environment, preferably as a gift processor or special projects coordinator, required.
  • Raiser’s Edge experience strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and Word, required.
