Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.The Critical Power Sales Specialist will direct and manage multiple sales channels supporting the Electrification Smart Building (ELSB) Power Protection business to ensure growth targets are attained for all products, services & solutions in the specified region. In this role, you will manage independent representative agents (iReps), value added resellers (VARS) and direct end user accounts for optimal performance and growth.This position reports toSales ManagerYour responsibilities
  • Lead region to develop and execute strategy to close profitable orders for following products: Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) and associated accessories, Static Transfer Switches (STS) and Power Distribution Units (PDU) and Automatic Voltage Conditioning (AVC)
  • Execute annual detailed account strategies with iReps, VARS and for key end users in pursuit of top line growth across the region
  • Collaborate with multiple ABB sales teams and channel partners to drive sales directly with end-users and through electrical contractors, distribution, and OEM accounts
  • Partner with Channel Sales Managers and Value-Added Reseller Channel Managers
  • Support complex contract negotiation
  • Develop strategic end user customer relationships with key decision makers
  • Ensure all orders are in strict compliance with ABB Risk Review Process
  • Own accuracy of orders, commitments and convertible orders forecast and serve as a focal point for sales forecasts
  • Be voice of the customer and promote a customer centric mindset
  • Provide clear communication to iReps, VARS and channel partners on ABB objectives, priorities, product development roadmaps and other business considerations
  • Ensure assigned region meets and/or exceeds the annual order’s goal
  • Partner closely with Product Leaders & Customer Support organization to ensure alignment of our ITO and OTR processes to meet customers CTQs
Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline and/or advanced business degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales with successful track record and tangible results working with third party channel partners, relevant consultants and contractors, distributors and end users in the data center, critical power, power quality or related industries
  • Thorough understanding of customer base and channel in assigned region
  • Attention to detail, self-starter, proactive, ability to learn, good interpersonal skills and results oriented
  • Strong communicator: must be able to communicate effectively at all business levels, including customer management
  • Strong knowledge of the electrical power industry
  • Extremely strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office essentials & Salesforce.com
  • Ability to travel 40% regionally
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
