- Lead or support the design, development, and validation of manufacturing equipment for Powertrain assembly, focusing on process optimization and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine manufacturing processes, with a focus on improving material flow, tooling, automation integration, and ergonomics.
- Work with Product Engineering to ensure manufacturability of designs while addressing cost, quality, and throughput requirements.
- Play an active role in Powertrain line launches, ensuring equipment readiness, process stability, and production alignment to OEE and KPI targets.
- Participate in and lead problem-solving initiatives using methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, or root cause analysis, with a focus on reducing process variation and improving line performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.
- Implement and optimize control systems, including torque tools and dispensing systems, to ensure process reliability and consistency.
- Maintain and update documentation such as work instructions, control plans, and PFMEA, ensuring alignment with manufacturing standards and compliance requirements.
- Stay current on industry trends and technological advancements to enhance manufacturing processes and provide input for innovative solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering, preferably within Powertrain or electric vehicle (EV) systems.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, including torque tools, dispensing systems, automation, and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) concepts.
- Experience with wire bonders and related equipment is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience supporting process improvements, driving OEE enhancements, and meeting key manufacturing KPIs in a high-volume production environment.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Catia, Delmia), with the ability to apply these tools to simulate and optimize manufacturing layouts and processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or root cause analysis methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and contribute to cross-functional teams.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with torque tools, fluid dispensing processes, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with automation technologies, including robotics, PLCs, sensors, and conveyors, with a demonstrated ability to apply these technologies in manufacturing environments.
- Strong ability to analyze and improve production processes to meet OEE and FPY targets, contributing to both efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
- Solid project management and leadership skills, capable of taking ownership of smaller projects or playing a key role in larger initiatives.
