Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented Civil Engineer specializing in Water Resources to join our dynamic team in Florida. This role offers the opportunity to play a significant part in various water resources and infrastructure projects, impacting ecosystems, watersheds, and communities across the state. You will be involved in engineering, design, permitting, construction management services, and engineering during construction for a diverse range of clients and projects.Responsibilities
- Engage in large environmental restoration projects that involve embankment systems, levees, reservoirs, and pump stations.
- Apply various design engineering and modeling techniques for water resource and heavy civil projects.
- Perform complex engineering analyses and design calculations.
- Prepare design drawings, construction specifications, and construction bid packages.
- Support hydraulic and hydrology modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations.
- Communicate with clients, generate new business opportunities, manage subconsultants, and staff.
- Provide construction management services, acting as a liaison between the contractor, government client, and engineer of record.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials, manage inspection work, coordinate submittals and the RFI process.
- Act as a Resident Engineer during construction, providing quality assurance, reviewing submittals, and creating project closeouts.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience supporting water resources or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, Bluebeam, HECRAS, ICPR, GeoSlope/Seep, MS Suite, and Adobe.
- Experience working with dams, levees, water control structures, pump stations, low water crossings, and municipal utilities.
- Experience with transportation or land development disciplines is desirable.
- Possession of EI is required; PE is a plus.
- Ability to travel for extended periods to support CMS and EDC projects in Florida.
