- Write safety program plans based on knowledge of MIL-STD-882E
- Conduct Functional Hazard Analysis
- Conduct safety analyses for systems, subsystems, and components, using methods such as Fault Tree Analysis, Event Tree Analysis, and Markov Analysis
- Develop safety requirements and support design of solutions to satisfy safety requirements
- Develop preliminary hazard lists and conduct preliminary hazard analysis
- Conduct hardware and software system requirements hazard analysis
- Develop system safety assessment reports
- Conduct hazardous materials analysis
- Support technical design reviews
- Conduct Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Manage the Hazard Tracking Database
- Conduct safety critical function thread analysis (SCFTA)
- Provide technical guidance and support to UAS program managers, chief engineers and operators
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate safety risks
- Conduct safety testing and validation of UAS systems
- Familiarity and experience with the following standards and handbooks: MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-882E, ARP-4761, ARP-4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, and Joint Software Systems Safety Engineering Handbook
- You will be a systems engineer who interfaces with stakeholders including internal programs and external customers
- You will develop artifacts based on stakeholder needs and work closely with functional areas to ensure artifacts are complete and accurate. Model Artifacts will often be contractual deliverables and require demonstration at stakeholder meetings and events
- Participate in the development of our Digital and Systems Engineering Strategy and Implementation
- Develop a deep understanding of transformational value of Anduril platforms, autonomy, simulation, and perception products through the creation and maintenance of systems engineering artifacts
- B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, computer science or similar engineering or technical field
- 2+ years Systems Safety Engineering Experience across the life cycle
- Experience with Systems Engineering, Requirements Elicitation and Management, Integration, and Test Activities on complex systems - DoD Weapon Systems, Space Systems, etc...
- Experience with SysML, DoDAF, UAFP, or similar
- Experience with Cameo MagicDraw or similar systems engineering software (Rhapsody, SparxEA, etc...)
- Experience with Digital Engineering workflows and Integrated Modeling Environments (i.e. Teamwork Cloud)
- Outstanding communication skills to include presentation of developed artifacts
- Must hold an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- Mission Modeling experience. For example, working knowledge of OCA/DCA, ISR, SEAD/DEAD, Electronic Attack, or Integrated Fire Control missions
- Experience Cameo Simulation Toolkit plugin for Cameo MagicDraw
- Proficiency with Mathworks products (MATLAB, SIMULINK etc.)
- INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) Certification
