Process and Manufacturing Engineering ManagerThis exciting role will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development, optimization, and support of manufacturing processes within the PV production operations. Your primary responsibility will be driving, improving, and supporting equipment efficiency, product quality, and maximizing manufacturing line throughput and productivity. A solid understanding of continuous development of the Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Standard Work Instruction. They are headquartered in the Burlington, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of solar cells and PV Modules for the renewable energy industry.   • Lead, hire, train, and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Kaizen, PFMEA, and root cause analysis.
  • Oversee engineering projects: planning, scheduling, budgeting, and equipment procurement/installation.
  • Partner with R&D to transition new products from development to production.
  • Troubleshoot automation, robotics, PLCs, and control systems in collaboration with OEMs and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards (NEC, NFPA, OSHA) and company policies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in automated manufacturing.
  • Background in DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of automation, robotics, PLCs (ControlLogix), HMIs, and drives.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, SPC, and process improvement.
  • Proven project management skills (budgeting, scheduling, scope control).
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, and CMMS systems.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification is not required, but experience working on or leading Black Belt-level projects is highly preferred.
Salary Range:
  • $115,000-130,000+ base salary and 15% annual incentive bonus depending on experience.
