Description of Job DutiesDescription and ResponsibilitiesThe Graduate Assistant provides administrative support for the Center for Community Health Innovation (CCHI) and Doctor of Community Health (DCH) program operations. The focus is on general administrative functions, document management, social media marketing, and paperwork coordination while gaining valuable experience in academic program administration and community health initiatives. The graduate assistant reports directly to the Director of the Center for Community Health Innovation (CCHI) and Chair of the Doctor of Community Health (DCH) program. Time commitment: 20 hours per week during the academic year, with flexible scheduling to accommodate academic coursework and program needs.Duties
- Provide comprehensive administrative support across all CCHI divisions and program areas.
- Support program development and student services across the DCH program, micro-credentials, and certificate offerings.
- Assist with the development and execute social media marketing strategies and prepare marketing materials by creating content, managing multiple platforms, monitoring engagement, coordinating promotional campaigns, and developing graphics and promotional materials for program recruitment and awareness across all CCHI programs.
- Support program assessment and research activities.
- Support maintenance of the websites and digital presence for the CCHI, DCH program, and Sims Scholars initiatives.
- Assist with faculty and student services coordination.
- Support partnership coordination activities for collaborations with Rural Health Division, Sims Scholars Division, and external partners.
- Track and report on program metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Eligible to receive a tuition waiver each semester
- Graduate Assistant must maintain a minimum of 2.50 GPA and be enrolled in at least 3 hours of classes for the fall and spring semesters
- A Graduate Assistant should be working at a level higher than an undergraduate student employee. For example: teaching/instructing undergraduates in or out of the classroom as assigned, critiquing/grading undergraduate work/skills, etc.
Education and ExperienceQualificationsEducation
- Currently enrolled in a master's level graduate program at SWOSU
- Preference for students in health-related, education, communications, or business fields
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic database management
- Experience with social media platforms and basic graphic design skill
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work products
- Experience with content creation and digital marketing
- Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools
