
Senior Construction Project Manager – Data Center Development

- Lead and manage all aspects of data center construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Drive project execution strategies and ensure alignment with client goals, technical requirements, and delivery timelines.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external contractors, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
- Act as the primary liaison between the client and all project participants, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets, schedules, and forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance, control costs, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Lead change management processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Ensure all construction activities meet or exceed quality standards and comply with safety regulations and environmental requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality reviews.
- Negotiate, manage, and enforce contracts with contractors and vendors.
- Oversee performance, ensure compliance with contractual terms, and manage claims or disputes as needed.
- Provide regular project updates through reports, presentations, and dashboards tailored to various stakeholder audiences.
- Facilitate project meetings, maintain action logs, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and implement best practices.
- Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience managing large-scale data center, mission critical high-tech or relatable construction projects.
- Field experience or field engineer experience is highly beneficial.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale, multi-phase construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Strong technical knowledge of data center design, engineering, and construction processes.
- Field experience or field engineering background is highly beneficial.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to risk mitigation and issue resolution.
- Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Experience negotiating and managing construction contracts.
- Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PMP certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
