If you are a candidate in need of assistance or an accommodation in the application process, please contact .Job Summary:The primary responsibility of the Regional Sales Director (“RSD”) is to sell “Nextech” to assigned physician markets generally consisting of practices with 3 or more doctors in a territory or territories assigned by the VP Sales. The Regional Sales Director is responsible for handling client prospects from all sources including responses to marketing, trade show and general inquiries as well as referrals from existing practices and physicians, maintaining established customer relationships and transitioning newly acquired clients to a Nextech Account Manager. During the initial meaningful contact, the RSD will qualify the prospective client to determine that there is sufficient justification for the prospective client's evaluation of Nextech to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship between Nextech and the client. All RSD activities must be in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA and other regulations, as appropriate.In addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards, specificresponsibilities of this role include:Essential Functions
  • Meet or exceed assigned quarterly and annual quotas within assigned territory
  • Achieve assigned key performance metrics that will be published from time-to-time
  • Prospect within territory to develop opportunities for Nextech to meet prospects' needs
  • Travel overnight to and/or within assigned territory as required to conduct comprehensive sales cycles
  • Utilize Practice and Site Surveys to determine prospective clients' software and system requirements
  • Demonstrate the full capabilities of Nextech software to prospective clients
  • Prepare and present price proposals to prospective clients
  • Determine and present the proposed return on investment for clients of the Nextech solution
  • Negotiate specific contract terms with prospective clients within Nextech guidelines; seeking approval of Vice President, Sales, and/or Chief Revenue Officer as required for terms that may differ from Nextech standard terms
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in order to process the sale; implementation, support, accounting and account management
  • Maintain contact with the client and supporting other Nextech employees as required throughout the implementation, initial “go-live” process and ongoing client relationship
  • Utilize
to report on the status of leads, track action items of each sales campaign and accurately forecast on a monthly and quarterly basis * Assist the Sales Vice Presidents in mentoring new and existing RSMs in various job functions
  • Conduct periodic training classes for other RSMs on various aspects of the sales function
  • Mentor RSMs and Associate Sales Reps while in the field
  • Take responsibility for special projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of enterprise/private equity sales
  • Solid understanding of the Ophthalmology industry
  • Proven ability to secure access to the Executive level of practice leadership (Medical Director/Chief Physician or Board level)
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Excellent product knowledge along with an ability to stay abreast of competition, competitive issues, products and markets for Nextech's products and services
  • High level of professionalism
  • Team player who can work cooperatively with others
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Previous experience with
Work Environment
  • Travel as needed and/or long distance driving within territory
  • Travel periodically to Nextech headquarters in Tampa, FL and various trade shows around the country
