💼 Role: Bioinformatics Analyst
Pay Scale: $56, 056 – $91, 072 (Dependent on Experience)What You'll Do:
· Perform comprehensive analysis of various NGS data sets including bulk RNA-
seq and single-cell genomic studies.
· Act as an analyst on an NGS project, going from data exploration and
normalization, differential gene expression, pathway analysis, to producing
compelling data visualizations and presentations to colleagues.
· Complement existing code to generate specific plots and subsequent analysis
from existing project data, or perform one-off analyses of individual studies.What We're Looking For:
· A recent PhD graduate in bioinformatics, genomics, or computational biology.
· Strong statistical analysis and computational skills, including basic proficiency
using Linux-based servers and high level of proficiency with the R programming
language and packages such as ggplot2.
· Relevant experience for dealing with large datasets: batch effect detection and
normalization, and confounding and covariate adjustment.
· Experience organizing and documenting code.
· Strong communication skills including presenting and interpreting biology
