Production Team Leader

- Coordinate production within budget parameters
- Schedule and coordinate shifts and employees' work schedules
- Conduct audits to ensure employees are performing tasks according to standards operating procedures (SOP)
- Ensure government compliance: USDA, FDA, etc
- Perform inventory checks and sampling
- Coordinate, with logistics and warehouse, shipping
- Provide performance coaching to hourly employees
- Ensure all equipment is running properly and coordinate needed repairs
- Conduct employee meetings, supervise production workforce and assist in employment resolution
- Knowledge of USDA, FDA, SQF and customer requirements for a food manufacturing plant
- Knowledge of Sustainability and EPA requirements for a manufacturing plant
- Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc
- Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
- Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
- Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
- Ability to read and write instructions in English
- Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required
