Leadership: Manager ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Excellence: Oversee all administrative aspects of programming, ensuring compliance with regulations, procedures, and service mandates.Strategic Reporting: Report and update the Associate Director on program status, attending community meetings and promoting the program effectively.Community Engagement: Maintain strong, cooperative relationships with funders, referral sources, and collaborating providers, attending community meetings.Intake Oversight: Lead intake review meetings, assign cases to clinicians, and monitor treatment plan compliance.Budget Management: Manage program budget and finance affairs, collaborating with the Finance Team and CFO.Staff Utilization Expert: Monitor and assess staff utilization within FFS environment, identifying program challenges and proactively finding solutions.Committee Participation: Attend and participate in agency committees, including QI/Sub-Committees, supporting overall agency goals.HR Support: Assist the Human Resources Manager with hiring, training, disciplining, evaluating, and motivating clinical staff.Supervision Excellence: Provide regular administrative supervision to supervisees and clinical supervision to clinicians and/or interns.Program Reporting: Complete all required program reporting in a timely fashion, ensuring compliance with funder/agency timeframes.Continuous Learning: Remain current in the field of Mental Health and Substance use, assessing appropriateness for program needs.Team Collaboration: Support the team to ensure regular drug/alcohol screens for required participants.Clinical Coverage: Provide coverage support for Coordinator and Clinicians as needed.Substance Abuse Counseling: Serve as Substance Abuse Counseling Staff in accordance with NJAC 10:161B-1.9.Specifications:
  • Education/Certification: LPC or LCSW and LCADC or state licensure/certification specific to program requirements, with demonstrated supervisory ability.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in mental health, 2-4 years in addiction services, plus supervisory experience, with diverse population experience in an urban setting.
  • Knowledge: Psychiatric disorders, treatment modalities, community resources, social service and mental health systems, clinical interventions.
  • Skills and Abilities: Conduct assessments, supervise clinical staff, mobilize strengths, create case formulations and treatment plans, assess for abuse and neglect, work with diverse backgrounds, communicate effectively, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Professional Characteristics: Open, warm, empathic, organized, flexible, ethical, creative, self-aware, dedicated, enthusiastic, and willing to take on additional tasks and responsibilities.
  • Work Environment/Physical Demands: Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of up to or in excess of 50 pounds.
