
RDC Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) - Off Shift

- 8:00pm to 5:00am
- Drive company trucks making prompt, on-schedule deliveries and pick-ups while notifying management of any delays in the delivery schedule.
- Serve as a backup driver to cover routes, as needed.
- Establish familiarity with delivery routes and delivery location preferences.
- Load and unload trucks in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Effectively communicate with all levels of staff.
- Maintain vehicle properly and perform daily pre and post trip inspections. Record damage to vehicles, product, and/or equipment.
- Report and observe problems and opportunities.
- Identify deficiencies and/or areas of improvement in the delivery process and communicate them to management.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- 6+ months of product delivery experience.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid driver's license. Drivers must meet Crescent Electric Supply Company’s requirements to drive company vehicles as stated in the Driving Company Vehicles Policy found in the Employee Handbook and Policy Manual.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification.
- Ability obtain and maintain forklift certification.
- Drivers of vehicles are required to meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Drivers of vehicles of 26,001+ lbs. gross vehicle weight require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Ability to utilize, or learn to use, all necessary computer software and industrial equipment.
- Apply effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Proven ability to use strong attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet minimum productivity standards.
- Ability to be reliable, open to change, and adaptable.
- Ability to understand and follow general and/or written instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematics and arithmetic.
- Ability to use contemporary merchandise processing equipment, such as hand-held scanners.
- Ability to use warehouse equipment and inventory systems.
- Ability to and comfort with working at heights of up to 28 ft. using powered equipment.
- Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping. Occasional sitting, talking/hearing. The use of hands/fingers are often needed.
- Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device.
- Vision requirements for driving equipment and company vehicles include:
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
- Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
- Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).
- Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
- May be required to work more than 40 hours per week.
