Maintenance TechKansas City, MO (Area)| Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Rotating On-Call W/E within Team)The Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD), a nonprofit serving the Kansas City Metro for 50+ years, is seeking a Maintenance Tech 1 to support our facilities, grounds, and vehicles. This role ensures safe, clean, and fully functional environments for our staff and the individuals we serve.What You’ll Do
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and safety systems.
  • Perform floor care, drywall repairs, painting, and grounds upkeep.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
  • Track supplies, order equipment, and manage invoices.
  • Respond to emergency work orders and occasional after-hours calls.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • At least 1 year of facilities maintenance experience (2+ years or technical training preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel locally.
