Parallel Employment Group is proud to partner with a local food manufacturer seeking 1st shift QC Technicians!Job SummaryTests and inspects products at various stages of production process to ensure product meets customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.Must have previous manufacturing inspection experience, completing paperwork, strong attention to detail.$17/hr; will consider slightly more with experience.The position is not difficult, but there are many small parts & pieces to the job. Attendance, attitude, ability & willingness to learn, and being able to work both with a team and independently are critical for success in this position. Mayer Brothers is family owned and the working environment is very family oriented our department is family, and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of it!PRIMARY DUTIES:- Complete shift Pre-Op inspections to ensure line meets code and give ok to begin production- Complete beginning, hourly & changeover finished product analysis to ensure food quality, safety & consumer specifications are in compliance- Inspections on all incoming raw materials & secondary packaging (items such as ingredients, bottles, cardboard packaging)- Inspect incoming/outgoing pallets, trailers, finished product orders- Identify defects & complete Quality Holds for any deficiencies. Tech will also be responsible for completing Root Cause Analysis, Non-Conformance reports, following up on disposition & close-out of hold- Complete shift Post-Op inspection to ensure line has completed all end of shift tasks and left production area in safe/clean condition for the next incoming shiftREQUIREMENTS:- Our facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year (Christmas & Thanksgiving are almost always off, however, depending on production needs, QC may be required to work).- Candidates are not required to have experience in Quality Control; we have found that a background in production/manufacturing or clerical work has been beneficial, but again, not a requirement- Position is active, employee spends 100% of their shift on their feet standing, walking (inside & outside between buildings), climbing stairs, carrying product, lifting (must be able to lift up to 50lbs)- Skills: critical thinking, problem solving, written & spoken communication, attention to detail, basic mathematics- Candidate must be willing/able to work weekends & overtime (Overtime is mandatory during our busy seasons), must have an excellent work ethic and a history of above average attendance record.Parallel Employment is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
