We relentlessly pursue medicines to ease the burden of debilitating diseases and disorders, because you deserve brave science. *in collaboration with AbbVieAbout the Role: Responsible for independently overseeing field incentive compensation (IC) operations for all eligible teams at Neurocrine. The individual will plan, create, implement, calculate, manage, and rollout all components of incentive compensation, including but not limited to core incentive compensation, contests, and annual incentive programs. The individual will strategically partner with Neurocrine’sileadership to drive plan alignment to ensure all plans are aligned to the commercial strategic objectives and are legally, regulatory compliant and financially responsible._Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):In partnership with Commercial Leadership, drives the development, review and communication of the Sales Compensation Philosophy and components (i.e., Plans, Contests, etc.) of sales compensation in conjunction/within the Total Compensation PhilosophyProvide guidance and strategic input on the design of the incentive compensation strategies/plans/policies for the Company’s eligible field teamsMaintain ongoing administration of incentive compensation plan in partnership with sales leadership and internal commercial managementSignificantly contributes to sales contest strategy, principle development and alignment. Ensures sales contests motivate field personnel, support the commercial objectives for the brand, and adhere to Compliance policiesRecommend and manage business rules for IC crediting/calculations. This includes monitoring overall data changes and proactively proposing how data changes or new data can be integrated into incentive compensationIncentive compensation documents or materials, including ensuring all updated materials are in Neurocrine’s Learning Management System. This includes, but not limited to, Incentive Compensation Program document, Incentive Compensation Plan Period documents, and meeting minutes for Field Incentive Compensation Committee meetingsDeliver training for the field team(s) on incentive compensation overall, their specific incentive compensation plan, and any changes to business rules or crediting as it relates to the incentive compensation planActively engage with Neurocrine’s finance department to review incentive compensation calculations and ensure all payroll files are delivered in a timely manner for IC payoutOversee the development and on-going changes of the IC Calculator to ensure it is updated with the latest plan information and is accurateCollaborate closely with Data Manager to ensure all relevant incentive compensation data is provided to data vendors in a timely manner for all reporting systemsOversees and ensures there is a response to any inquiries from the field regarding incentive compensation, uses critical thinking, analytical thought and judgment to resolve complex issuesProvide analytics and summary on incentive compensation, presents sales report data or analytics to field leadershipOther duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing, or related field and 10+ years of sales operations experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry with significant portion working in sales incentive compensation. Previous managerial / functional management experience also required ORMaster's Degree or MBA strongly preferred and 8+ years of experience as noted aboveEmerging as an internal thought leader with technical and/or business expertiseApplies in-depth knowledge of own area of expertise to solve problemsApplies in-depth understanding and may guide others on how own discipline integrates within the department as well as impact to other departments and understands contribution to Neurocrine's achievement of business objectivesStrong knowledge of and experience working with biopharmaceutical market data (meaning of data, limitations of data, ability to manipulate, etc.) including Specialty Pharmacy, IMS and SHS dataStrategic understanding of sales and marketing with the ability to identify product sales drivers, trends, issues, etc. Experience with sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry strongly preferredApplies advanced consulting skills, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, and translation of solutions to business value. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
